That passion that ignited as a child would be the saving grace of her troubled mind. Genevieve received ECT treatments (Electroconvulsive Therapy) and medication. The doctors told her husband Derek that she would likely develop Bipolar Disorder and require long term medication to maintain a normal life, or that she quite possibly would never return to reality. She was “FLATLINED”, but not in the sense that her heart had stopped pumping-her heart was all that remained; a mere vacant shell of an unrecognizable woman.
